Batavians for a Healthy River (BHR) News:
We recently received $3000 in wetland violation enforcement funds from the U.S Army Corps of Engineers Chicago District Office.  This money was used to purchase equipment for our clean-ups and restoration activities.

Batavians For A Healthy River has a four-fold mission:

To inspire a conservation ethic in Batavia, Illinois;
To work cooperatively with others to monitor and make improvements to the health of the Fox River watershed in Batavia;
To improve water quality in the Fox River by reducing point and non-point sources of pollution in Batavia;
To inform citizens of and respond to concerns about the negative impacts of dams and other man-made encroachments
     in the Fox River and its tributaries.
